If you have experienced damage to your home as a result of the recent storm, please take the following steps immediately:
- Contact your insurance agent
- If you have flood insurance, go to
for information on filing. If you need to purchase flood insurance, this is also an excellent, easy to understand resource.
- Report your damage to the City of Portsmouth by calling the Customer Contact Center at
. A Presidential Disaster Declaration will depend on the amount of reported damage.
Important Note: It is critically important that you call the City to report damage.
Qualifying for Federal Assistance is dependent on Portsmouth meeting thresholds for a Presidential Disaster Declaration.
